Future Plans for Our Veterans Facility
The Beacon of Light Institute for Veterans envisions a dedicated facility that will expand the support we provide to veterans and their families. Through collaborations with veteran organizations, we currently assist veterans in critical areas such as housing, medical care, and mental health resources. However, with a dedicated facility, we’ll be able to expand our impact by directly offering services and on-site care tailored to veterans’ needs.

Planned Services at Our Veterans Facility
Once established, our facility will serve as a comprehensive support center, providing a range of therapeutic and practical services:
- Healthcare Coordination: Assistance with scheduling and coordinating doctor’s appointments.
- Job Support and Financial Counseling: Career counseling, job placement assistance, and financial advising to help veterans achieve financial independence.
- Community Outreach and Partnerships: Acting as a liaison to connect veterans with community resources and other agencies.
- Transportation Services: Reliable transport options for accessing essential services.
- Transition Assistance: Support with reintegrating into civilian life through guidance and resources.
Therapeutic and Counseling Services
Our facility will feature a variety of therapeutic and counseling programs to support mental and emotional health, including:
- Counseling Services: Specialized counseling for trauma, substance abuse, and personal challenges
- Group Readjustment Counseling: Peer support groups for shared experiences and readjustment to civilian life
- Optional Ministerial Counseling: Faith-based counseling available upon request
- Equine, Horticulture, and Pet Therapy: Holistic therapies that support healing through animal and nature-based interactions
- Certified Therapeutic Riding: Daily sessions with a certified therapeutic riding instructor to offer equine-assisted therapy
With this new facility, the Beacon of Light Institute will provide a comprehensive network of support to help veterans and their families lead fulfilling, independent lives.
